WELCOME
ACTIVE MOMS AND TOTS was founded in Dec 2007 by three friends, Krista H., Liz M., and Susan W. Our membership fluxuates between 110 and 130 members throughout the year and we plan roughly 700 events each year for our members. Many of the events are held at local businesses in the Greater Seattle Area.

The founders have been involved in many local mother/child support groups and organizations over the years. From these experiences, they feel that they have found the right balance of policies and freedoms so that all members can have a great time, get the support they need, and still remain in a safe environment.

One of main philosophies for the group is that all members must remain active. By "active" we mean "getting out of the house and doing fun activities" with like minded mothers and children. All members are screened prior to acceptance to the group, for the safety of all members.

Another important philosophy of the group is that all policies are written down and available for review before  joining the group. AMAT_Policies.pdf This helps reduce uncomfortable situations between the members and helps the organizers keep focus on the things most important to the members: planning events.
